Subject: Holy Spirit
Hi Craig,
I have come upon a good
question. In a church I to go to, they
believed that you always had the Holy Spirit in side you. But then you had to pray to activate the
gifts or the spirit I forget which way it went. I came before the pastor and said the word of God tells we have
to pray to receive the Holy Spirit.
Which is the right way...
God Bless,
Mark
Hi Mark,
Actually, both of your
views have credibility IF you can both agree as to the identity, role, and
purpose of the Holy Spirit. Since you
have not provided me with any scripture references to substantiate and clarify
what your pastor believes about the Holy Spirit and I have no idea what you
yourself believe, the only way I can explain which is the correct way is to
have you read a comprehensive Bible study series I wrote that takes you thru
the New Testament, and examines every single one of the New Testament passages
that mention the “HS” and define use, meaning, and applications to the new
covenant believers by referr9ing to the original Greek language in which the
scriptures were written.
Once you have finished
reading the series, please re-contact me if your questions are still
unanswered; I think you’ll find that they aren’t. Also, I included several links on speaking in other tongues,
including some Q & A, testimonials of several Christians, and a Scripture
study series I wrote on the topic. I’d
like your feedback once you’re finished reading the articles; here’s the links
