A Constellation of False Doctrine
Part Two
By Kenneth James Solheim Th.B.
In an earlier debate concerning the Trinity and Oneness doctrines, I raised the issue that one reason I reject the doctrine of the Trinity is that there is a huge constellation of false doctrine orbiting it. It was after this debate and after listening to the doctrine that I will share with you here, I decided to make an actual list of the different false doctrines that have been given birth because of the Trinity doctrine.
Aired on during a recent
2004 Radio Program.
Context: Husband and Wife
Roles, Equally Important but Dissimilar Because of Roles
In a recent
broadcast of a local Christian radio program, the Senior Pastor was teaching
about husbands and wives. The point that he was trying to make was that each
person, male and female, is equally important, talented and treasured. Any
difference is due to the role of the person in the marriage. To demonstrate
this point he alluded to the Holy Family of the Trinity.
Each God;
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, is equally important,
powerful, omniscient, is from everlasting to everlasting, etc but their roles
seem to placed God the Father in a more important role. Then he said;
“God the Father and God the Son and God
the Holy Spirit couldn’t get anything done if not for their roles.”
The radio
Pastor gave no scriptural support for any part of this heresy. He offered no
ideas as to how the roles were decided upon by the three gods. Can you image
this scenario? Imagine if you will
three gods all made of the same substance and all equally powerful and
knowledgeable but not being able to accomplish anything because of infighting and disagreements as to how a
certain thing should be done?
Can you
imagine God not being able to accomplish anything? (That is a strange god that the Trinitarians own.) Let us keep our fingers crossed and hope
that they will be able to maintain this role playing. Perhaps we can do
something; perhaps we should pray and encourage the gods to maintain their
current positions. It is sometimes necessary for someone to do this in
marriages, it is called intervention.
This raises
some interesting speculations. Do you think that it is possible that perhaps
all of this will change in the New Heavens and the New Earth? Will the role playing be necessary to
continue? Maybe after this Universe is rolled up like a scroll and disposed of,
a fourth god will join the three and together decide upon a Holy Quad to accomplish
whatever it is that needs to be done in the New Heavens and the New Earth?
According
to Trinitarians, god didn’t reveal the truth that there were three gods in the
one god and that the one god is three until after 5000 years, beginning with
the ministry of Jesus Christ. Well, perhaps we will learn in a future date that
there are in fact four gods in one and the one god is made up of four, or
perhaps five gods, or maybe Joseph Smith Jr. founder of the Mormons got it
right and that there are literally thousands upon thousands of gods in the
Universe and that we shall become a god at some future time?
However,
the important thing is that, before they can get anything done they must first
decide upon the roles that they will play.
One final point:
No matter
how long and how loud the Trinitarians shout that they do not believe in
polytheism the truth escapes in their teachings. Remember, this Pastor taught his church members that “God the Father and God the Son and God the
Holy Spirit couldn’t get anything done if not for their roles.” If they
really believed in One God as we Monotheist or Oneness believers there would be
no need for the “role playing” of three gods to get “anything done”.
It is not a mystery it
is a contradiction…SELAH
