A Constellation of False Doctrine

Part Three

By Kenneth James Solheim Th.B..

In an earlier debate concerning the Trinity and Oneness doctrines, I raised the issue that one reason I reject the doctrine of the Trinity is that there is a huge constellation of false doctrine orbiting it. It was after this debate that I decided to make a list of the different false doctrines that have been given birth because of the Trinity doctrine.    Kenneth James Solheim Th.B.

No.3 God Died on the Cross.

One of the most absurd false doctrines that arose from the Trinity is that “God died on the cross.”  If any of the Trinitarian heresies clearly and obviously demonstrates the pagan origins of the Trinity it should be this.

Testimony of God

“Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.” (Psalms 90:2) God cannot die! God cannot die at the hands of the Romans. I know that the Romans had an absurdly high opinion of themselves, just because they had conjured the whole known world, but to be able to kill the One True God Who is from everlasting to everlasting—that’s delusional! And yet the Trinitarians believe this!

This idea is not foreign at all to the pagan religions surrounding the Jews.  Surrounding the Jews gods were in an abundance in false religions whose pagan deities were dieing left and right; often someone close to them murdered them, such as a fellow family member. In the Hindu religion of India men become venerable ‘gods’ through intolerable numbers of incarnations.  However, once you reached godhood you could still die!  But to the Jew, God was eternal; He had no start and by virtue of this fact He had no ending, and was considered eternal and that He is the cause and source of all things.

In the GWT (God’s Word Translation) Malachi 3:6 reads, “I the Lord change not.”  And yet the Trinitarian believes God the Son voluntarily surrendered His Godhood and stepped out of Heaven and became human.  The Trinitarian position holds that Jesus, the second person of “God” laid aside His “divinity” in the triune godhead, was then born a man and grew up only to be killed by mere mortals.  This is a clear contradiction to the Holy Word of God.

The Bible is clear and simple; God does not change!  Therefore the lie of the Trinitarianism that God the Son would voluntarily lay down His Godhood to be born a man is a complete contradiction to God’s Holy Scripture!  The idea that a God can die at the hands of man, His very creation, is beyond comprehension, and yet this is what the Trinitarians believe.  Most, without realizing it, are nigh second cousins to all the polytheistic nations God warned His People concerning.  No matter how long or how loud they shout that they are not polytheistic it still comes out loud and clear in their teachings.  If they believed in the one true God, as they claim, then one of the three can not die!

Prophesies of the Messiah

In the Holy Scriptures, in the Old Testament, are some 150 to 300 Messianic Prophecies (depending to whom you are speaking). Not one of them prophecy that a God will be born a man.  Not one of these prophesies deals with God dieing for mankind.  However, all of these prophecies deal with a man.  Listed below are just a few of these:

Genesis 3:13

In the first prophecy of the Messiah God promises to Adam and Eve that He would, “put enmity between thee (Satan) and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.  Notice that God said, “his heel,” and the, “seed of the woman,” not, “a God.”

Since when does the phrase, “her seed,” becomes code for God being born of a woman? Since the days of the Exodus the Hebrew women longed to be the one from whom the Messiah would spring.  Never once did they think that they would become the, “Mother of God!”  When did this all change?  During the 4th and the 5th century, hundreds of years after Jesus’ death and hundreds of years after the last Apostle died; when pudgy balding priests of the Catholic Church decided that they knew better than God!

Genesis 49:10 teaches us that the Messiah was to come from the line of Judah.  When did the phrase, “from the line of Judah,” become code for the birth of a god?  Were all descendants from the line of Judah gods?  Of course not, this verse is clearly teaching a man and not a god.

1 Samuel 2:35, 36 teaches that the Messiah was to be a, faithful priest.”  When did the priest of YHWH become a god?  Where they all gods?  Of course not, but yet those Catholic Church leaders of the 4th and 5th century believe that a god became a priest.

2 Samuel 7:12 teaches us that the Messiah was to be of the line of David. (Isaiah 11:1 teaches us that the Messiah was to come from the line of Jesse, the father of David.) When did the line of David start producing gods?  Thanks to the Roman Catholic Church leaders of the 4th and 5th century we now know that the line of David started to produce gods at around the 1st century (Now that’s evolution!)

Psalms 22: 9, 10 teaches us that the Messiah was to, “trust in God from birth.  Isn’t it quaint that one god was to trust in another god from his birth?  Who would have known?  However, if the Messiah was a man this would all make sense.

Who knew that virgins give birth to gods? (Isaiah 7:14) Who?  The pagans that’s who! And of course the 4th and 5th century Catholic Church leaders who believe that God died on the cross, that’s who!  Not much different from the pagans were they?

Isaiah 9:6 teaches that the Messiah was to be born a child. When did the term “child” become code for “a god” being born of a woman? Do we have to ask?

Isaiah 11:2 teaches that the Messiah was to have the Spirit of the Lord rest upon him. Do I have to ask it?  Isn’t it quaint that the spirit of one god was to rest upon another god? This is clearly teaching a man and not a god.

Isaiah 53:4 teaches us that the Messiah was to be smitten by God.  Again, isn’t it quaint that one god was going to smite another god (where is that legendary harmony the Trinitarians claim of the Trinity?)  Here again is an example that the trinity is polytheism, if there truly is One God then you would not have one god smiting another god or the spirit of one god resting upon another! What could possibly be accomplished by having the spirit of one god resting upon another god?! But if the Messiah is to be a man then these are extraordinary statements about him

Isaiah 53:5, 6, 12 and Daniel 9:26 teach us that the Messiah was to be killed.  Did you know that a god can be killed—who then can we trust for our own protection; if the gods of the Trinity can’t keep themselves alive? This is an important question! (This contradicts Malachi 3:6 and many, many, other verses. It is not a mystery it is a contradiction!)

Testimony from the Gospels;

Mark 1:21 teaches us that Mary gave birth to a son, no where in all the scriptures do we read that she gave birth to “a god.”  Since when does the noun, “son,” become code for “god?”

Mark 12:29; John 4:24; Luke 24 are proof that Jesus taught the One God was spirit and that a spirit does not have flesh and blood as His disciples saw that He had. So, how can a God die at the hands of the Romans? How did the Romans kill an Everlasting Spirit?

In John 8:40 we read, “As it is, you are determined to kill me”, Jesus said, “a man (my emphasis-kjs) who has told you the truth that I heard from God…” Jesus clearly taught that He was a man.  He never called himself a god.  And He clearly teaches us here that as a man they were trying to kill him.  Finally, consider that He, Jesus, always makes a distinction between him and God, “who has told you the truth that I heard from God.”

If Jesus were a god, coexisting as one of three, would He always make this distinction between himself and God?

In John 11:49 and 50 we read, “Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up, ‘You know nothing at all!  You do not realize that it is better for you that one man (my emphasis-kjs) die for the people than that the whole nation perish.’”

This is monumental!  Since Malachi and until John the Baptist, God was silent, for over 400 years there were no prophecies.  With John the Baptist and Jesus, God was speaking again to His people!  And then, extraordinarily He spoke through the High Priest, a wicked man, holding a high office of the people, who was plotting Jesus death!

It was God who spoke through the High Priest and said, “You do not realize that it is better for you that one man (my emphasis-kjs) die for the people…” Notice that God does not prophesy, “A god must die for the people.  And yet the Trinitarians continue to believe that a god died at the hands of the Romans, why?

The Testimony of Peter:

Acts 2:22-23

“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man (my emphasis-kjs) approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:”

·         Who would have known that men of Nazareth were gods?  I do not think that woman would have developed this doctrine, but the Catholic theologians of the 4th and 5th century would.

·         When did the New Testament noun, “man,” become code for, “god?”

I brought this verse to the attention of a Trinitarian.  I used it to prove that a man must die not a god.  His answer to me was that we have to consider whom it was that Peter was preaching to; they were Jews who believe in One God.  Peter wouldn’t have been able to teach the whole truth, that is to say that he would not have been able to teach the Trinity because of this.  Was he blaming God that because of the covenant that God made with Abraham and later with the Jews through Moses that there is ONE GOD and that they were to serve Him and Him only for Peter not being able to teach the, “whole truth?”

It was the One True God who covenanted with the Jews to serve Him and Him alone and not to take upon them the worship of idols or the polytheism of the neighboring nations.  Now because of this, according to the Trinitarians, Peter was not able to tell the truth that there are three gods and that one of them died for them!  This is horrendous! This is a horrendous lie!

God covenanted with His people and they have been Monotheist ever since.  They have believed in the One God and Him alone—because it is the Truth!  In the 4th and 5th century evil men of the Catholic Church introduced a Trinity of three gods and because of God’s covenant with Israel Peter was unable to teach this lie?!

Isn’t it sad that due to believing in a lie that this would produce such a heinous allegation!  Because of a lie, because of the philosophical belief of 4th and 5th century priests of the Catholic Church we now can not have confidence in Peter.  Peter walked with Jesus for 3 ˝ years but I guess Jesus failed in his training. Remember also that this is the first sermon of the New Church and came right on the heels of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus taught that once the Holy Spirit had come that He would lead us into all truth—I guess the third god of the Trinity was unable to do his job as well.  Well, thank God for the pseudo wisdom of men in the 4th and 5th century, who alone had the courage to introduce to God’s people polytheism whereas everyone else had failed!

Acts 3:20-23

“And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. 22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. 23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.”

·         Just when did, “Christ,” (the anointed one) become code for god?

·         Just when did, “a prophet,” become code for god?

I once attended a weekly ecumenical Bible study of Christian men.  I left when the group taught against Jesus being a prophet.  They did not even list this section of scripture in their study.  I wonder why?  Actually I do not wonder.  There is a preconceived belief that Jesus was a god and this does not support that belief.  So, we pay no attention to the Holy Scriptures!  It is not a mystery it is a contradiction!

·         Just when does the phrase, “A prophet…your God raise up…of your brethren,” become code for the second god of the Trinity being born of a woman and dying on the cross?

·         Just when did the men of Israel and the visitors to the Temple on the day of Pentecost become brothers to gods?

Thanks to the deceptive priests of the Catholic Church we now know that God fashioned a god from their brethren.  Does that mean that they are gods as well? Just how many gods are there?

Just when did Moses become a god? The Bible teaches, “A prophet…like unto me (Moses)?”  Where the other prophets of the OT gods as well?

Evidence from the Pauline Epistles

1 Timothy 2:4-6

“…The man (my emphasis-kjs) Christ Jesus. Who gave Himself a ransom for all…”

2 Timothy 2:8

“Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David, was raised up from the dead…”

Hebrews 2:11

For both He that sanctified and they who are sanctified are all one…call them brethren.” This portion of scripture clearly teaches us that a man died on the cross. Remember the Messianic Prophesies taught us that a man of a certain line and tribe was to be born, Moses prophesied that he was to be a prophet like unto Moses, so “He that sanctified and they (like us today) who are sanctified are all one” (that is that we all come from the family of man, not gods).

Hebrews 2:16

“…the seed of Abraham…”

Hebrews 2:17

“…to be made like h

is brethren…to make reconciliation for the sins of the people…”

Hebrews 3:2

“…Who was faithful…as also Moses was faithful in all his house.”

Hebrews 3:3

For this man (my emphasis-kjs) was counted worthy…”

Hebrews 3:5 and 6

“And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; 6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.” In Acts 3 Peter testified to the Pharisees that Jesus was a prophet like unto Moses, not a god.

Hebrews 4:15; 5:1 and 7

“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin…. For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God… Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him…”  Jesus was made a High Priest and priests were taken from the people not from the gods. Jesus was “made perfect”, how can a god be made perfect? Clearly this whole section is teaching us about a man and not a god.

Hebrews 5:9

“…and being made perfect…” A god is already perfect. How can you make a perfect being more perfect? But this does not stop the Trinitarians from trying.

Hebrews 6:20

“…and being made a forerunner for us…” A forerunner of the feminist movement is not a god but a woman who pushed ahead and breaks down barriers. A forerunner of the black baseball players was not a white woman but a black man who strove to open the door to other black players. Jesus was a man who went before and tore down the veil that separated us from God. He was made a forerunner for us so that we can run unabashed into the presence of God and call Him, Father. It was not a god that died on the cross it was a man a forerunner.

Hebrews 7:14

For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Judah…” not off of Mars Hill or Mount Olympus, like other pagan fantasies (or for that matter form out of a trinity)!

Hebrews 9:27 and 28

And as it is appointed unto men once to die…So, Christ was once offered…” this is an incredible juxtaposition of scriptures!  If Christ refers to a god than what difference would it be that, it is appointed unto men once to die?”  But Jesus was a man so He could only offer up Himself as a sacrifice once!

Hebrews 10:12

But this man (my emphasis-kjs), after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the Right Hand of God.” The Trinitarians will tell you that it is God the Son who sits at the Right Hand of God. This is a lie not a mystery. Let me repeat this truth, IT IS A LIE.  It contradicts clear Scripture. The Trinity doctrine does not come from the Holy Scriptures but from a lie!

Hebrews 13:12

Wherefore Jesus, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside of the gate.”

Romans 1:3 and 4

Concerning His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who was made of the seed of David according to the flesh…by the resurrection from the dead.” Jesus was made “of the seed of David” not “of a god!”

Romans 5:6

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly…”  When was it that, “Christ,” becomes code for, “a god”?

Romans 5:8

But God commanded his love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  Here is that familiar demarcation between Christ and God.  Jesus never calls Himself, “God,” and God the Father never calls Jesus, “God.”

Romans 5:9

“Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved form wrath through Him…”

Romans 5:12 to 21

“…By one man…”

“Wherefore, as by one man (my emphasis-kjs) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

“For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man (my emphasis-kjs), Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. 16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

“17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. 18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

“19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one man shall many be made righteous. 20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: 21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Jesus is the, “second Adam,” not a god.

Romans 10:4 to 7

“Or, Who shall descend into the deep?” (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) So when did the term, “Christ,” become code for, “a god”.

1 Corinthians 1:17

“…lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.”  It is the, “cross of Christ,” not the “cross of god.”

I Corinthians 15:3

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins.”

I Corinthians 15:12-19

“…we have testified of God that He raised up Christ…”

I Corinthians 15:21-25

For since by man came death, by man (my emphasis-kjs) came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every MAN in his own order: Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. 24 Then cometh the end, when he {Christ} shall have delivered up the kingdom TO God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. The first fruits of a tree are like the remaining fruit, not a god!

2 Corinthians 4:10

“…the dying of the Lord Jesus…”

2 Corinthians 5:14 and 16

“…if one died for all…we have known Christ after the flesh…”

I remember talking with two Trinitarians in a Church Bible bookstore about this subject. We talked for over 30 minutes until I pointed out that through the whole conversation all I did was quote scripture and they never did.  Through the whole conversation they never mentioned the Holy Scriptures. It doesn’t seem to matter to Trinitarians what is Biblical and what is not concerning this doctrine, the Trinity, and of course the constellation of false doctrines that have arisen because of the original lie. It does not seem to bother Trinitarians that their cherished doctrine contradicts the whole Bible, it contradicts the whole Bible, both OT and  NT, because it is not based upon the Bible.

In the International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (affectionately called I.S.B.E, i.e. “Is bee”) in volume 10 there are 38 pages dedicated to the subject of the Trinity.  Through the majority of those pages is a discussion as to how the Trinity doctrine is a revealed truth and not one based upon reason.  ISBE in essence is says the Trinity can not be discerned through reason.  That is why when you try to pin down any one section of the doctrine to the Bible the pad answer you always get is, “it’s a mystery.”  Well, it is not a mystery it is a contradiction!  It is a lie.
